We are a family from the hills of Ponta do Sol. In our cozy home, we bake Madeira’s famous Bolo do Caco and share the joy of food, culture, and stories with everyone who visits.
Our mother, Nati, has been baking bread for more than 40 years. She loves teaching others how to make it too. Together, we share not only bread but also traditional Madeiran food and the stories that come with it. It’s always about warmth, learning, and connection.
The heart of our home is the firewood oven kitchen, where our mom spends much of her time. It’s also where you’ll learn the art of making Bolo do Caco.
After baking, we gather outside on the patio to enjoy what we’ve made together, with good food, nature, and each other’s company.
We live in the quiet village of Canhas, surrounded by gardens and fruit trees. Oranges, plums, lemon guava, sweetsop, all grown with care.
Guests are welcome to pick fruit straight from the trees and enjoy the fresh taste of Madeira.
